Engineer E2 – Lakehouse Platform Operations

We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer with proven experience in Cloud technologies. You will work within the Data Platforms Engineering team to advance our Enterprise Data Lakehouse Platform Operations Capabilities.

In this role, you'll work in the Lakehouse Platform Operations team, utilising cutting-edge Cloud technology within Microsoft Azure to enhance our Enterprise Data Lakehouse platform. Using tools such as Databricks, Python, and Terraform, you'll design and develop key platform functionality and observability solutions. Expect a hands-on experience where you'll contribute significantly to our daily operations, making a tangible impact with your expertise.

In this position, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our data platforms and processes. Your responsibilities will encompass building robust code to underpin our platforms and building detailed observability of the platform’s usage and consumer interactions.

For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our London or Swindon site approximately once per month. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office.
