Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at morganson.co and the related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Morganson (“Morganson”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Morganson, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@morganson.co.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using Morganson, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. What Morganson does
Morganson is an AI-assisted job-search and career assistant. Depending on the features you use, the Service may:
- let you search and save job listings gathered from publicly available employer career pages;
- provide an AI assistant that answers career questions and helps with your job search;
- let you upload a CV and generate suggested improvements;
- provide indicative salary estimates for roles; and
- send you job digests by email and/or WhatsApp where you opt in.
We may add, change or remove features at any time.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
5. Credits, pricing and payment
- Credit-based access.Certain features consume “credits”. New accounts receive a small number of free credits on sign-up. You can buy additional credits in prepaid packs (for example, a pack of 20 credits for £1.99). Prices are shown at the point of purchase.
- Payment. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing credits you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method.
- Prepaid and no expiry. Credits are prepaid and, unless we state otherwise, do not expire while your account remains active.
- Non-refundable. Except where a refund is required by law (see clause 6), purchased credits are non-refundable, are not exchangeable for cash, and have no monetary value outside the Service.
- Consumption. Credits are deducted when you use paid features. Because delivered job digests and AI features have already been performed, the credits they consume are used up at that point.
- Forfeiture on closure. If you delete your account, or if we terminate it for a serious breach of these Terms, any unused credit balance is forfeited.
- Free credits. Complimentary or promotional credits have no cash value and may be varied or withdrawn at any time.
6. Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the UK, you normally have a legal right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days. However, by purchasing credits and using them, you ask us to begin supplying the digital content immediately and you acknowledge that:
- once you have used credits, you lose the right to cancel in respect of the credits you have used; and
- for any credits from that purchase that remain unused, you may still be entitled to a refund within the 14-day period.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To request a refund permitted by law, email us at hello@morganson.co. Where we grant a refund for a credit pack, we may reverse (deduct) the corresponding credits from your balance; if a full refund is issued, the full number of credits from that pack is removed.
7. Job listings — important information
Job listings shown in the Service are gathered from publicly available employer career pages and similar public sources. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the employers whose roles appear in the Service, unless expressly stated. We do not guarantee that any listing is current, accurate, complete or still open, and roles may be filled or withdrawn by the employer at any time. You should always verify details with the employer directly before applying or relying on a listing.
8. Salary estimates and AI output — no advice
Salary figures shown in the Service are estimates only, generated using models and public data. They are not offers, guarantees or professional advice. Similarly, responses from the AI assistant and AI-generated CV suggestions are provided to assist you and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional, career, financial, legal or employment advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use any output.
You acknowledge that our AI processor, Anthropic, embeds a machine-readable watermark in AI-generated text and that employers or other recipients may be able to identify AI involvement in documents produced by the Service. We cannot remove or disable this watermark. See our AI transparency page for details.
9. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you provide, including your CV and profile information (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and use Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including sending it to our AI processor to generate responses and improvements). You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- scrape, copy, resell or systematically extract data from the Service except as expressly permitted;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share;
- interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the Service; or
- misuse the AI features, including attempting to generate unlawful or abusive content.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, logos and branding (but excluding Your Content and third-party materials), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own job-search purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on and links to third-party services, including Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), Supabase (hosting and data storage), Resend (email) and WhatsApp / Meta (messaging). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for external websites and employer pages that we link to.
13. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the Service for maintenance, security or other operational reasons. We may also modify or discontinue features at any time.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we make no warranties, whether express or implied, about the Service, including as to accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that job listings or salary estimates are correct or current. This clause does not exclude any warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (including your statutory rights as a consumer).
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any loss of employment, loss of opportunity, loss of profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from reliance on any job listing, salary estimate or AI output;
- our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for credits in that period and (b) £50.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses, damages and costs we incur arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we cease to operate the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; clauses that by their nature should survive (including those on credits, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will continue to apply.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
20. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at hello@morganson.co. See also our Privacy Policy.
