The Business Management team are a small but critical part of Business Services. The team are responsible for change and operational governance, visibility and insight, supporting both Retail and the Group Customer Operations function. We work closely with our operational partners and the change, people and scheduling teams within Business Services, helping create clarity, focus and momentum against our shared strategic priorities, with customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do.

The team are looking for a Business Support Manager to lead, shape and continuously improve high-quality reporting, insight and governance across Retail and Group Customer Operations. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders to translate priorities into clear, actionable insight, helping drive better decision-making, stronger governance and more effective delivery. The role will also oversee change demand prioritisation, planning and air traffic control, ensuring the team remains focused on the activity that will have the greatest impact for customers, colleagues and the Society.

We are seeking someone who can combine strong knowledge of member-facing and operational channels across Retail with the ability to lead, influence and bring people together across Business Services and our operational areas. You’ll play a key role in shaping how the team delivers governance, reporting and insight, providing clarity, challenge and structure to support senior leaders in making informed decisions and driving forward the Society strategy.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 30 and 35 hours.

This is a 12 month secondment opportunity.

For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration and in some locations you’ll be expected to spend at least two days a week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, in the office.
