We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Equity-Linked team and contribute to our Investment Banking division. Our Equity-Linked team is responsible for the origination and execution of various transaction types, including convertible bonds, exchangeable bonds, and other equity-linked instruments in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). As an Associate within the Equity-Linked team, you will assist in preparing origination and marketing materials to pitch new ideas and execute transactions for clients. You will be actively involved in the coverage effort for a diverse range of corporate clients across industries, collaborating closely with other corporate finance and capital markets teams within the bank, including investment banking coverage, industry teams, debt and equity capital markets leveraged finance, and equity derivatives. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the origination and execution of equity-linked transactions
- Draft pitch materials for corporate clients and assist in pricing convertible and exchangeable bonds
- Collaborate with syndicate, sales, and trading teams to gather market intelligence specific to equity-linked instruments to come up with creative solutions for clients
- Work closely with corporate clients and transaction lawyers
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant investment banking experience (specifically equity-linked)
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to multitask, organized, and detail-oriented
- Interest in capital markets and corporate finance
- Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Effective interaction skills with salespeople, corporate clients, and other banks as part of project working groups
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Proficient quantitative and analytical skills, including expertise in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
