The Middle Office Static Data Specialist is an entry level position responsible for processing orders, analyzing data and updating settings in the Middle Office platforms originating from trading desks and external vendors in coordination with the Operations Teams. The overall objective of this role is to maintain correct and quality data to ensure the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. This role is open only for teams covering NAM region, 16:00-24:00 CET.
Responsibilities
- Process data updates, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of multiple securities products
- Analyze basic complexity reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services
- Create new and modify existing setups to ensure transaction processing executed by Client
- Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate team or department and collaborate on a solution
- Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications
- Some experience in static, data management, or transaction processing is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Knowledge and experience of MS Office including SQL is preferred
- Fundamental understanding of securities products, accounting, investment funds and regulatory policies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
