Financial due diligence / Valuations / Corporate finance

Shape the future of business deals.

At PwC, you will help clients navigate complex transactions — from mergers and acquisitions to investments, divestments and financing. You’ll join a multidisciplinary Deals team working across corporate finance, valuations and financial due diligence to support organisations in making confident decisions and creating long‑term value.

This is a great opportunity because we are expanding the team and hiring several people with different experience levels and focus. You don’t need to meet every requirement to apply — curiosity, drive and a willingness to grow matter most.

What you will do

Collaborate with PwC teams locally and internationally (especially Slovenia and the SEE region)

Engage with clients through meetings, calls and day‑to‑day communication

Contribute to business development and build internal and external networks

Work on live transactions and support clients through key business events

Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their professional development

Financial due diligence

Perform financial statement analysis and financial due diligence for companies across various sectors

Prepare clear, insightful analyses and reports, including data processing, error review, and identification of key trends

Analyse broader business information and discuss findings with senior team members and clients

Conduct research using public and proprietary sources

Manage due diligence engagements, including coordinating workflows, reviewing output, and leading small teams (1–4 members)

Valuations

Develop and utilize valuation models

Perform financial analysis and market research to support valuation conclusions

Prepare and review detailed valuation reports

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in valuation methodologies

Conduct investment appraisals

Corporate Finance

Structure, prepare and review client presentations, teasers, information memorandums and pitch materials

Based on own and joint deal-making efforts and ideas, carry out and/or lead market research assignments, identifying potential buyers, investors or targets

Be actively involved in other business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new / existing clients

Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while leading teams of 1-2 people and reporting to grades above

Train and lead staff

Establish effective working relationships directly with clients

Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

Continue to develop internal relationships

What you bring

Two to eight years of experience in one or more of the following fields: corporate finance, valuations, financial due diligence or a strong audit background

Understanding of the M&A process

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills;

Power Query, Power BI or basic programming is an advantage

Practical business experience in using AI tools / engines through effective prompt writing

A problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Fluency in English and Croatian (spoken and written)

ACCA/CFA student or member is a plus

Deep accounting and finance technical knowledge
