Job Description & Summary

PwC is a leading global practice in Tax, Assurance and Advisory, offering a wide range of professional services to major clients worldwide, and therefore opportunities for newcomers to our organization.

A professional with a hybrid tax–technical background, coming either from tax consultancy with ERP exposure or from ERP implementations with a focus on tax modules. Demonstrable experience with Romania's tax compliance ecosystem (VAT, TP, SAF-T, e-Factura, e-Transport). Comfortable operating independently in front of clients and translating complex tax requirements into ERP system configurations.

Your future role

· Deliver advisory projects at the intersection of tax requirements and ERP configuration, with a focus on structured reporting

· Provide substantive and analytical support in implementations of our compliance solutions and clients' ERP systems

· Design and optimize clients' tax processes in the context of IT/ERP implementations

· Prepare fit-gap analyses between legal requirements and system capabilities

· Draft technical and analytical commentaries on changes in tax reporting obligations

· Lead client workshops on tax topics, in particular structured reporting and its ERP implications

· Participate in client meetings and contribute to proposals and thought-leadership materials

Technical competencies – Tax & regulatory

· Solid understanding of Romanian tax and accounting regulations (VAT, CIT, local reporting requirements)

· Deep knowledge of accounting processes, including inventory movements and stock valuation

· Practical, hands-on experience with at least one Romanian structured reporting obligation: SAF-T (D406), e-Factura (ANAF), e-Transport

· Nice to have: excise duty regulations in Romania (alcohol, tobacco, energy products)

Technical competencies – ERP

· Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP highly preferred; Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics also relevant)

· Experience configuring, testing or supporting tax-relevant flows and modules (excise-related configuration a plus)

· Ability to work with tax reporting/compliance tools and middleware for structured reporting

Soft skills

· Translation ability – converts legal and tax requirements into system logic a technical team can implement, and verifies the output end-to-end

· Independence & ownership – delivers autonomously on complex, multi-disciplinary projects and prioritizes across parallel tax and ERP workstreams

· Client-facing communication – leads workshops, presents to senior stakeholders and runs client meetings without supervision.
