The Team: The People Partner team at S&P Global Ratings is dedicated to fostering a People Forward culture, emphasizing diversity, collaboration, and community-driven decision-making. As part of our commitment to strategic execution, we seek a Global Business Partner who can provide exceptional support to the business ensuring alignment with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities and Impact:This role will lead the People workstream for the 12-month integration of an acquisition into S&P Global Ratings. The People Partner will translate the integration strategy into a clear and coordinated people plan, helping to protect business continuity, retain critical capability and support employees and leaders through change. Working across the business, the People function and specialist partners, the role will drive timely decisions and disciplined execution across the employee lifecycle while ensuring legal, regulatory and policy requirements are met.
- Own and deliver the end-to-end People integration plan with clear milestones, dependencies, decision points, and risk management aligned to the overall acquisition integration programme
- Partner with integration leaders and senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into workforce, organization, and talent priorities for both the target firm and S&P Global Ratings
- Lead People due diligence follow-through, validate workforce information, and identify material people risks, obligations, and implementation requirements for integration
- Design future-state organization and workforce transition approach, including organization structures, role mapping, reporting lines, capability requirements, location considerations, and workforce cost implications
- Coordinate employee transfer and onboarding activities, partnering with Employment Relations, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility and other specialists to ensure compliant transition
- Assess compensation, benefits, employment terms, and people policies across both organizations; develop harmonization recommendations, transition arrangements, and clear escalation processes
- Develop and execute comprehensive People change and communications plan, including leader readiness, employee communications, consultation requirements, FAQs, and feedback channels
- Identify critical talent and retention risks; partner with leaders on retention strategies, succession planning, talent assessment, development, and knowledge-transfer actions
- Coach leaders and managers through integration decisions and employee impacts while leading culture and ways of working integration to support effective team alignment
- Oversee high-risk employee relations matters and ensure core People processes are integrated effectively, including performance management, talent development, recruitment, rewards, and payroll
- Work with People Technology, People Operations and data owners to support accurate employee-data migration, system access, records management, and reporting with appropriate privacy controls
- Establish integration governance and reporting, monitor progress and outcomes, partner across the People function for consistent experience, and plan sustainable handover with documented accountabilities
What We're Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant People experience in a global environment, with significant experience supporting complex organizational change and transformation initiatives
- Prior experience with acquisition, merger, divestiture, or large-scale workforce integration activities
- Working knowledge of organization design, employee transfer processes, consultation requirements, reward and benefits harmonization, and talent retention strategies
- Strong programme management and prioritization skills with proven experience delivering multiple workstreams to fixed milestones and deadlines
- Advanced communication skills, including ability to simplify complex issues and tailor messages effectively for executives, managers, and employees across different audiences
- Experience partnering across multiple jurisdictions and navigating local employment requirements with Legal and specialist People teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional People workstreams, manage complex interdependencies, and execute strategic initiatives with disciplined project management
- Proven ability to work in complex, highly matrixed environments and influence senior leaders and peers without direct management responsibility
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills with ability to identify people, operational, and compliance risks while driving effective resolution in ambiguous situations
- Ability to build credibility quickly, handle sensitive information appropriately, and work inclusively across cultures, functions, and geographies to overcome resistance and build alignment
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish language skills
- Tech, financial services or other corporate environments background in private or publicly listed companies
- Experience in regulated environments
- Usage or familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
