Are you passionate about sustainability and interested in developing expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and ESG regulations?

At PwC, you will be part of a dynamic ESG team supporting leading clients across industries in navigating complex regulatory requirements and building robust sustainability strategies.

As an Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping clients translate ESG needs and regulations into practical solutions, with a strong focus on climate-related topics and GHG accounting.

What you will do

Support clients in complying with ESG regulatory requirements (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol)

Contribute to the development of GHG inventories (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and carbon accounting methodologies

Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of ESG and emissions-related data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

Assist in designing and implementing ESG reporting frameworks, processes, and controls

Support clients in decarbonisation strategies and climate transition planning

Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on ESG engagements

Stay up to date with evolving ESG regulations and sustainability standards

What we are looking for

University degree (or final-year student) in a relevant field. An engineering degree in environmental science is an advantage, but we will also consider candidates with other relevant types of degrees:

Strong interest in ESG, climate change, and GHG accounting

Motivation to specialize in carbon accounting and ESG regulatory topics

Analytical mindset and ability to work with data

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Fluency in Croatian and English (Croatian is a plus)

Prior experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, or GHG accounting is an advantage, but not required.
