What you'll do
In the capacity of KYC Onboarding Analyst based in London, you shall be entrusted with responsibilities integral to preserving the integrity of client relationships across both banking and securities divisions. Your daily undertakings will encompass conducting thorough due diligence reviews, performing essential checks for bribery and corruption risks, maintaining accurate records of customer suitability assessments, and facilitating efficient onboarding processes. You will work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure all regulatory obligations are fulfilled while continuously seeking ways to enhance operational effectiveness. By proactively identifying risks during review cycles and assisting with updates to customer profiles, you will contribute significantly to safeguarding the organisation’s reputation. Your remit also includes supporting ad hoc projects and administrative tasks within the Client Management Services team. - Conduct comprehensive 'Know Your Customer' due diligence reviews within prescribed cycles, thereby ensuring full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering policies and all pertinent regulatory requirements.
- Perform meticulous bribery and corruption checks for prospective transactions involving existing clients, identifying any potential reputational, business, or sanction risks.
- Maintain precise records of customer categorisation and suitability assessments for all relevant clients, guaranteeing alignment with MiFiD, EMIR, Dodd Frank Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Pursue opportunities to refine the onboarding process by fortifying controls and enhancing efficiency through Lean-On-Boarding initiatives.
- Expand knowledge within the Anti-Money Laundering domain by assimilating underlying policy requirements and contributing constructively to ongoing improvement efforts.
- Identify and escalate risks or issues during periodic or event-driven reviews promptly to line management.
- Assist the business when modifications occur in existing customer profiles by conducting interim partial assessments, updating systems accordingly, and escalating as necessary.
- Facilitate the establishment of non-KYC entries into relevant systems, ensuring data accuracy and robust controls for guarantors, non-trading roles, and duplicate entries.
- Support colleagues on ad hoc projects as required, thereby advancing communal objectives.
- Provide administrative assistance to the broader Client Management Services team as needed.
