Senior Area Product Owner (f/m/d) - Master & Reference Data Management (part-/full-time)

About the role

Are you ready to steer the foundational "brain" of our enterprise’s data landscape?

We are looking for a visionary Senior Area Product Owner to lead and evolve our Master & Reference Data Management (MRDM) product. At our company, MRDM is far more than just an IT system - it is the single, canonical source of truth that defines our static business reality. It ensures that our core shared data - covering Products, Instruments/Contracts, Customers, Calendars, Markets, and Reference Data - is resilient, auditable, and seamlessly enforced across the global organization.

As we embark on a major migration to a cloud-native data architecture, MRDM will serve as a critical pillar of this transformation. Built on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and running 24/7, this is a high-visibility role where your leadership will directly impact the future of our enterprise data.

Your tasks

• Communicate with stakeholders and ensure product goals and timelines are met
• Pro-actively foster our ongoing agile transformation
• Channel product roadmap and product features clearly to stakeholders to form consistent understanding of goals and maximize the value of delivery
• Manage the product backlog, making sure that backlogs are always visible, prioritized, and clear in structure and content.
• Translate business needs into clear backlog items and prioritize them to maximize product value
• Support and empower the delivery team by clarifying goals through clearly defined backlog items and fostering decision-making.
• Ensure product compliance
• Constantly engage, empower and steer decision making in the delivery team to ensure quality end to-end
• Monitor and improve product performances by further developing and analyzing KPIs and taking actions to address findings

Your skills

• University degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience
• Experienced Leader: You have a proven track record as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• Data Expertise: An understanding of data-driven applications and their real-world business use cases
• Cloud-Savvy: Experience or strong familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is highly preferred.
• Agile Champion: You thrive in highly collaborative environments and have an agile mindset and expertise
• Regulatory Mindset: You understand the critical nature of compliance, auditability, and regulatory reporting in a 24/7 enterprise environment.
• Identify and translate business opportunities – able to think ‘out of the box’ to identify opportunity and solve challenges
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines and deliver in a fast moving and change oriented environment
• Confident with strong communication, able to engage senior stakeholders
• Effective presentation skills essential – creating and delivery
• Very strong proficiency (negotiation level) in written and spoken English and German
