Independent Consultant, Partner Manager

At Fiserv, the Independent Consultant Partner Manager is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, developing, and supporting Independent Consultants within the partner ecosystem.

This role is focused on growing a high-quality network of independent consultants who introduce new merchant opportunities to Fiserv, while ensuring an excellent partner experience through strong onboarding, relationship management, and ongoing support.

The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for Independent Consultants, helping them identify opportunities, navigate internal processes, and maximise sales performance.

What you will do

Partner recruitment and development

Recruit, qualify, and onboard new Independent Consultants across target markets and verticals

Build a strong pipeline of prospective consultants and referral partners

Conduct due diligence and commercial assessments on prospective partners

Develop and deliver growth plans to increase consultant-generated sales

Promote Fiserv products, solutions, and value propositions to the consultant community

Partner onboarding

Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new Independent Consultants

Ensure partners complete all compliance, contractual, and training requirements

Deliver onboarding sessions covering products, pricing, processes, and sales tools

Equip partners with the tools and resources needed to generate opportunities successfully

Relationship management

Act as the primary relationship owner for Independent Consultants

Maintain regular engagement through calls, reviews, and performance meetings

Provide guidance on sales opportunities, pricing, and solution positioning

Identify ways to improve partner productivity and growth

Partner support

Manage day-to-day partner queries and issue resolution

Coordinate with internal teams across Sales, Operations, Underwriting, Pricing, Customer Service, and Product

Ensure partner issues are resolved within agreed service levels

Represent partner needs and help improve the overall partner experience

Performance management

Track partner sales activity, pipeline, and conversion metrics

Monitor performance against agreed growth targets

Produce regular performance reports and business reviews

Identify underperformance and implement corrective action plans where needed

What you will need to have

Experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development

Proven ability to recruit and grow partner relationships

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering against targets

Strong commercial focus with negotiation and influencing skills

Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills

What would be great to have

Payments industry experience

Experience working with referral partners, consultants, ISOs, or indirect sales channels

Knowledge of acquiring, POS solutions, eCommerce, and payment technologies

Experience using CRM tools, ideally Salesforce

In the first 12 months, success in this role will mean building a scalable Independent Consultant programme, recruiting and onboarding a strong network of active consultants, creating a clear engagement and support model, delivering sustainable pipeline growth and new merchant acquisition, and becoming a trusted partner to the Independent Consultant community.
