Job description & summary

As a Senior IT Consultant, you will deliver technology-enabled transformation projects for major financial-services clients. You will translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, work with architects and engineering teams, and support implementation across the full software delivery lifecycle. You will take ownership of defined workstreams, manage technical dependencies and risks, and ensure that solutions are secure, scalable, testable, and aligned with the client's target architecture and regulatory obligations.

Imagine working on project like

Digital Banking Platform Migration – You support the transition of a major European bank from legacy applications to a modern cloud-based platform. You coordinate application, data, integration, testing, security, and release activities across business and IT teams. You help define migration waves, interface and data-mapping requirements, non-functional requirements, cutover and rollback plans, and operational-readiness criteria. You track technical dependencies and defects, support architecture decisions, and provide clear status and risk reporting to senior stakeholders.

You'll be the orchestrator – the person who

Keeps complex programs on track across hundreds of moving pieces

Translates business strategy and requirements into implementable solution concepts, technical work packages, and delivery plans

Uses delivery metrics, system data, and technical evidence to support decisions and make progress, quality, and risks transparent to executives

You lead workshops and elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, technical, and non-functional requirements, including security, performance, availability, and auditability needs.

You create functional and technical specifications, user stories with acceptance criteria, process and data-flow models, interface requirements, and traceability from requirements through testing and release.

You maintain decision records, RAID and dependency logs, architecture and interface inventories, data-migration mappings, test evidence, release-readiness documentation, and management reporting.

You collaborate with solution, enterprise, data, integration, cloud, and security architects to assess solution options and document key design decisions.

You support data migration and system integration by analysing source-to-target mappings, data-quality rules, interfaces, APIs, events, and reconciliation requirements.

You support test and release management by defining acceptance criteria, coordinating test preparation and defect resolution, and assessing deployment, cutover, rollback, and hypercare readiness.

You identify technology, cyber-security, resilience, privacy, and regulatory risks and translate them into concrete requirements, controls, and remediation actions.
