Job Summary
As an Analyst in the UK & Ireland Private Side FX & Interest Rate Sales Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our coverage of corporate clients. You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Investment Banking to deliver tailored solutions that address client needs. In this role, you will develop your technical expertise, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the team’s success.
Job Responsibilities
- Support senior sales colleagues in achieving sales targets and business objectives
- Manage a portfolio of corporate banking clients, providing high-quality service and solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, understanding their requirements and delivering bespoke risk management strategies
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and increase market share
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Trading, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Operations, to ensure seamless client delivery
- Monitor market trends and developments, offering clients timely insights and advice on risk management
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management
- Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Demonstrated technical ability in interest rate derivative products
- Experience in sales covering corporate clients
- Ability to understand and price both simple and complex derivative products
- Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Self-motivation and initiative to identify new client opportunities and generate trade ideas
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Reliable team player with a collaborative approach
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience working on a rates derivatives sales desk
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
