We are looking for a Market Surveillance Intern to support the integration of AI-driven analytics and SupTech capabilities into our market monitoring processes. You will work alongside senior analysts on live market data and trading systems, while contributing to an innovation initiative exploring how AI can enhance surveillance tools and alerting mechanisms (we welcome candidates from a technical background with a genuine interest in financial markets, as well as finance profiles curious about AI and coding).

What you'll do

Support data analysis and simulations for projects across derivative and cash markets

Assist senior analysts with:

Reviewing and validating input parameters used in trading surveillance systems

Analysing and interpreting outputs from daily market surveillance reports

Monitoring the daily flow of Exchange notices, ensuring accurate dissemination and proper assessment of market impact

Functional and regression testing within our simulation environments

Contribute to documentation, process improvements and cross-market initiatives

Contribute to our SupTech innovation initiative — supporting the design and prototyping of AI-driven surveillance tools and alerting logic

What we're looking for

Genuine interest in financial markets — derivatives, cash equities, market structure

Appetite for AI and coding — comfort with data, curiosity about AI-driven analytics, willingness to experiment with new tools

Degree (or final-year student) in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines

Analytical mindset and attention to detail

Team player, proactive, keen to bring fresh ideas to the table
