We are looking for a DevOps Technical Team Lead to join our growing Platform Engineering / DevOps Enablement team. Our Platform Engineering organization is modernizing the platform through cloud-native technologies built on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD tooling. The DevOps team plays a critical role in this transformation.
The DevOps Technical Team Lead will provide hands-on technical leadership across the team, set engineering direction, establish standards, guide solution design, mentor engineers, and lead the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical leadership for DevOps and platform engineering initiatives.
Own the technical direction and solution design for CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and supporting platform capabilities.
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and reusable automation patterns.
Lead the design and governance of Infrastructure as Code for Microsoft Azure environments.
Define and maintain Kubernetes-based deployment standards, including Helm chart and release patterns.
Establish engineering standards, reference architectures, reusable templates, and technical guardrails.
Use and integrate standard tooling such as, or similar to, GitHub, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and JFrog Artifactory.
Embed secure delivery practices including SSO, role-based access, secrets management, security scanning, and auditability.
Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex build, pipeline, deployment, and environment issues.
Drive platform reliability and observability improvements, including logging, monitoring, alerting, recovery, and operational readiness.
Provide technical leadership during priority incidents and ensure lessons learned result in sustainable improvements.
Lead design reviews and code reviews, and document key technical decisions and trade-offs.
Mentor DevOps and platform engineers and support the development of engineering capability across the team.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, security partners, product stakeholders, and operational teams.
Own and improve operational documentation, technical standards, support models, and runbooks.
Engage in agile ceremonies, continuous improvement activities, and global platform initiatives.
Qualifications:Recommended Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Recommended Experience
8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles.
Proven experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and leading complex engineering initiatives.
Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and reusable delivery patterns.
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, including modular design, testing, state management, and governance.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, identity, networking, security, monitoring, and operational concepts.
Practical Kubernetes and container workflow experience, including Helm and production deployment patterns.
Experience with source control, build orchestration, artifact repositories, and tooling such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and JFrog Artifactory, or equivalents.
Experience embedding security scanning, access controls, secrets management, and compliance requirements into delivery workflows.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex cross-system issues and lead technical resolution under operational pressure.
Experience defining technical standards, documenting architecture decisions, and creating operational runbooks.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical risks and trade-offs in business terms.
Experience leveraging AI tools responsibly as part of routine engineering, automation, documentation, analysis, or troubleshooting activities.
