Consistently recognised by the industry for activities in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising, our Corporate Finance business is a market leader in Investment Banking & Capital Markets. We provide a full range of investment banking services, including public and private equity and debt financing, M&A advice and private investment services for corporate and institutional clients.

The Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory division is looking to add an Associate in the NRG team to their platform.

Your key responsibilities

Supporting wider teams in the coverage effort of key NRG accounts

Coordinating and assisting in origination and execution of M&A, Leverage Finance and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions with NRG clients

Conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling

In both origination and execution projects, taking responsibility to communicate with clients, other advisers and senior investment bankers

You will be expected to utilize sector knowledge to guide production of materials presented to clients and assisting Country and Product bankers on opportunities relating to the NRG sector

You will also be responsible for helping to develop and mentor the juniors in the team

Your skills and experience

Relevant Corporate Finance experience across advisory and capital market products

Proven execution skills, complex deal understanding and structuring capabilities in M&A, Leverage Finance and ECM

Strong analytical approach combined with creative problem-solving abilities

High levels of initiative and ingenuity, high pro-activity levels and drive and excellent organisational skills - the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously

Able to drive and influence senior, cross-functional and cross-regional deal teams, interfacing with multiple business partners across business lines and regions

Able to communicate well with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively in teams

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
