As part of Deutsche Börse Group's digital transformation journey, the Big Data & Advanced Analytics (BDAA) team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise Data Quality and Data Catalog platforms.
The role focuses on implementing platform capabilities, supporting governance and operational processes, driving automation, and ensuring the reliable operation of data management services. Working closely with data governance, engineering, and business teams, you will help enable trusted, discoverable, and high-quality data across the organization.
Your responsibilities
- Support the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Data Quality and Data Catalog platforms, ensuring alignment with governance and operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions, CI/CD workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code implementations using Terraform, GitHub, and cloud technologies to improve platform efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage platform operations, including user onboarding, access management, configuration, monitoring, incident resolution, and vendor coordination.
- Support data governance initiatives by enabling metadata management, data quality controls, catalog structures, business glossaries, and platform adoption across business domains.
- Monitor platform health, observability, and operational metrics, proactively identifying improvement opportunities and maintaining documentation, standards, and support processes.
Your profile
- At least 2 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or technical platform operations.
- Strong Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud platforms (preferably GCP), automation scripting, and CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of Data Quality, Data Catalog, Metadata Management, and Data Governance concepts.
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as Soda, Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar data management solutions.
- Knowledge of monitoring, observability, platform administration, access management, and operational support processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in spoken English.
