Salary not stated · Compare UK pay by role →
We’re reinventing payments. In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.
Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year. But we’re just getting started.
Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.
The role
We are looking for talented Business Development Representatives to join us in launching and scaling a brand-new department. As an early team member, you will play a crucial role in building our outbound sales pipeline to drive new business, while helping shape the processes, structure, and culture of the team for the future. You will be at the forefront of Dojo's expansion, driving key revenue growth within the £1m – £20m mid-market segment.
What you will do...
- Drive outbound prospecting and multi-channel outreach across phone, email, and social platforms to generate qualified merchant leads.
- Schedule and conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand prospective merchants' businesses.
- Apply consultative questioning and active listening to uncover merchant pain points, needs, and objectives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, track outreach activity, and manage pipeline progression.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and operations, to share market trends and customer insights.
- Actively participate in sales meetings, ongoing training sessions, and company events.
What you will bring...
- Demonstrated experience in a B2B outbound sales or prospecting role, ideally within payments, fintech, or technology.
- A proven track record of consistently meeting sales targets and generating new business opportunities.
- Strong communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Expertise in prospecting and engaging businesses within the mid-market segment, with experience in hospitality, retail, healthcare, or leisure being a plus.
- Ability to prioritise effectively, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.
