As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Data Relationship Manager Team Lead to lead and develop a team focused on building relationships with industry participants and supporting the growth of our data business.

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Team Lead to support and develop a team of Data Relationship Managers. This role is ideal for candidates with some leadership, mentoring, coaching, or deputy team lead experience who are looking to take the next step in their people management career while remaining actively involved in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Asset Managers Team

Focuses on building relationships with fund managers and alternative investment managers who contribute data and market intelligence.

Asset Owners Team

Focuses on building relationships with asset owners, institutional investors, and allocators who participate as data partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data Relationship Managers.

Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and development discussions.

Provide ongoing coaching to improve communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.

Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Build and maintain relationships with key data partners and industry stakeholders.

Act as an escalation point for complex stakeholder enquiries and relationship challenges.

Support the team in maintaining high levels of engagement and service delivery.

Champion best practices in stakeholder communication and relationship management.

Operational Management

Oversee team activity, workloads, and priorities to ensure business objectives are met.

Monitor team performance, engagement metrics, and operational effectiveness.

Ensure accurate maintenance of CRM records, reporting, and data quality standards.

Identify risks, challenges, and opportunities and implement solutions where appropriate.

Data Acquisition & Business Growth

Support initiatives to grow and strengthen participation across our data products.

Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities to enhance data coverage and market engagement.

Help drive the successful onboarding and retention of data partners.

Contribute to the development of outreach strategies and engagement plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with teams across Data, Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Events, and Operations.

Share market insights and stakeholder feedback to support broader business objectives.

Drive collaboration across departments to improve efficiency and stakeholder experience.

Process Improvement & Innovation

Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and team effectiveness.

Leverage technology, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance operational performance.

Support change initiatives and promote continuous improvement across the function.

What We're Looking ForExperience

Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching a team in a relationship management, client services, customer success, account management, business development, or similar environment.

Experience managing external stakeholders and developing professional relationships.

Proven ability to drive performance and improve team effectiveness.

Experience within financial services, data, information services, or a related industry is desirable.

Leadership Skills

Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting colleagues to achieve their goals.

Ability to motivate and develop individuals with varying levels of experience.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities across a team.

Ability to create an inclusive, collaborative, and positive team culture.

Comfortable providing guidance, feedback, and support to team members in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience using CRM systems and reporting tools.

Familiarity with process improvement, automation, or workflow optimisation is advantageous.
