- Design, build and maintain IBM TM1 and Planning Analytics models, cubes, dimensions and hierarchies to support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting across the Finance function.
- Develop TurboIntegrator (TI) processes to automate data loads, transformations and business rules, replacing manual spreadsheet-driven processes with reliable, repeatable PA-based workflows.
- Build and maintain Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX) reports, views, websheets and dashboards that provide self-service insight for FP&A, Financial Control and the wider Finance function.
- Partner with Finance users to understand planning and reporting requirements, translating business needs into well-designed TM1/PA model structures, rules and processes that improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Apply strong development standards, including version control, model documentation, change management and testing, to ensure TM1/PA solutions are reliable, auditable and maintainable.
- Ensure all TM1/PA solutions meet the Bank’s data governance, security, change management and regulatory control requirements, working closely with Technology, Data and Risk teams.
- Support finance colleagues on TM1/PA helping users build confidence and capability so they can get the most from the platform — from everyday navigation and self-service reporting through to more advanced analysis and planning tasks.
- Support BAU activities across the TM1/PA environment, acting as a first point of contact for user issues, troubleshooting model errors, data load failures and performance problems, and providing timely resolutions that minimise disruption to Finance planning and reporting cycles.
- Manage and administer the TM1/Planning Analytics environment, including server configuration, security (user/group access, element security), performance tuning and working with IBM and internal Technology teams on upgrades and platform maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven professional experience developing and supporting TM1/Planning Analytics applications
- Advanced proficiency in TM1 cube design, dimension modelling, and hierarchy development
- Strong expertise in Turbo Integrator (TI) scripting and MDX query language
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in SQL and ability to work with relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environments
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with IBM Planning Analytics or Cognos Analytics
- Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, or forecasting systems
- Familiarity with performance optimisation techniques and system administration
- Experience in Agile development environments
- Understanding of data governance and quality assurance principles
