Role overview

We’re looking for a .Net Software Engineer to help design, build, and support our core platform.

In this role, you’ll contribute to backend services, APIs, data access, integrations, and some UI components in a cloud-based, event-driven architecture. Our technology stack includes C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, AWS, Blazor, and MudBlazor, with services running across Lambda, ECS, and EC2.

We build distributed systems that communicate through APIs and events, and we continue to improve our engineering practices, tooling, and platform capabilities.

We take an AI-first approach to software development, using approved AI tools to support design, coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, and problem-solving. You’ll be encouraged to use these tools thoughtfully and responsibly as part of your day-to-day work.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on development, collaborative problem-solving, and delivering reliable software in a practical, iterative environment.

Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, reliable, and maintainable software

Develop and support .NET services and APIs within an event-driven microservices architecture

Contribute to integrations between systems using APIs and events

Work with PostgreSQL and data access patterns to deliver scalable, supportable solutions

Support applications and services hosted in AWS, including Lambda, ECS, and EC2

Contribute to UI development in Blazor and MudBlazor where needed

Break down requirements and solution designs into clear technical tasks

Participate in estimation, planning, and technical discussions

Take part in peer reviews and contribute to shared coding standards and quality practices

Write automated tests and help improve software quality and reliability

Troubleshoot defects, investigate incidents, and support production issues when needed

Create and maintain clear technical documentation

Use approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly and in line with engineering, security, and quality standards

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer building production application in C# and .NET

Experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs

Experience working with event-driven systems, asynchronous messaging patterns, or service-based architectures

Understanding of RESTful APIs and service-to-service communication

Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL

Understanding of automated tests and good software quality practices

Experience using source control and collaborating through code review practices

Ability to work from technical documentation and break development work into clear technical tasks

Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day engineering work

Good written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working in a pragmatic delivery environment that draws from agile principles without following a strict framework

Nice to have:

Experience with microservices architecture

Experience with BFF patterns

Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, or related cloud-hosted environments

Experience with PostgreSQL in production systems

Experience with Blazor and/or MudBlazor

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
